Job summary

Husqvarna in Huskvarna is seeking a Design Engineer Accessories to drive concept development and product maintenance from idea to industrialized parts.

You will work cross-functionally with R&D, Global Design, Purchasing, Product Management, test laboratories, factories and external suppliers, creating Catia V5 models and maintaining BOMs in Teamcenter, while ensuring documentation meets requirements and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering.
• 3–5 years of mechanical design experience, including injection-moulded plastic components.
• Fluency in Swedish and English, written and spoken.
• Knowledge of Catia V5 and Teamcenter; familiarity with GD&T and polymer processes.
• Experience with design validation, documentation and BOM management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Developing concepts and prototypes and following up samples and test results with test engineers.
• Taking technical responsibility for the approval of parts and products within your scope.
• Creating 3D models in Catia V5, drawings and technical documentation.
• Building and maintaining BOM structures in Teamcenter.
• Ensuring technical documentation meets requirements through reviews.
• Independently planning and driving work across development and maintenance activities.
• Collaborating with testing, calculation, quality, manufacturing and external partners.
• Occasional travel within Sweden and rarely internationally.
