Freyrecruitment is seeking a Deckhand for a 60m+ sailing yacht to join a 4-person deck team. The role includes hands-on deck maintenance, sailing operations, tender driving and guest activities.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of deckhand experience on sailing yachts, be a strong team player, and thrive in a busy onboard environment. This is a dual-season private program with Caribbean winters and Med summers; start before mid‑November in the Mediterranean.

Job description

A 60m+ sailing yacht is seeking a Deckhand to join its team.

This is a hands-on role supporting day to day maintenance of the deck. The successful candidate will assist with deck maintenance, sailing operations, tender driving and guest activities, while helping to maintain the yacht to a consistently high standard. The deck runs with a team of 4.

Applicants should min 1-2 years previous experience as a Deckhand, preferably on a sailing yacht and be confident working as part of a team in a busy onboard environment. A practical, proactive approach, strong attention to detail and a real team player.

The ideal candidate will be adaptable, organised and willing to get involved across all aspects of deck duties. They have three large tenders so confidence with tender operations is necessary.

Any additional experience or qualifactions with diving or managing watersports will be advantageous.

This is a dual season, private program with the occasional light charter use. They are heading to the Caribbean for the winter and will be back to the Med next summer.

Typically winters are more steady with use with a busier Med summer season.

Qualifications required: Yacht Mater min, STCW, ENG1 and relevant sailing yacht experience
