This describes how IKEA works with retail throughout the value chain, starting with our identity and the range, how we manufacture and supply to franchisees, and how we communicate, sell, and fulfill customer orders. The process indirectly defines the capabilities IKEA needs, with at least half of the process and capabilities managed by franchisees.
This encompasses the various capabilities supporting the retail concept, including subject matter experts, process personnel, and digital tools such as IKEA Digital Design System Skapa, IKEA Knowledge Graph, Visa Retail Guidance, and Range Selection Tool.
These are the external brand-building websites of IKEA, aimed at explaining who we are to our customer audience. They are not sales channels but serve as the public face of the brand online.
This includes the upper funnel of IKEA.com retail websites, mainly contracted by IKEA IT AB, and the lower funnel involving customer checkout, payment, order orchestration, fulfillment, finance, customer support, and supply chain, utilizing capabilities from Supply and the Microsoft 365 Dynamics ERP platform.
The Data Scientist role focuses on data and insights within the Range Selection Tool data foundation area, which is used by most IKEA stores globally to recommend optimal product ranges based on various data sources like sales, demographics, and semantics.
You believe in developing models for data analysis and insights by creating transparent, reproducible, and reusable data science products. You value clear communication within and outside the digital product team to enable effective decision-making and aim to help IKEA become more data-driven. You are experienced in working within agile teams with high autonomy.
