Job summary

EUROPEAN DYNAMICS is seeking a Data Manager (FME) fluent in English to work remotely within the EU, with an initial on-site integration with a major client’s IT team. You will design ETL data flows, monitor performance, ensure data quality, and support analysis with internal stakeholders.

The role requires a university degree in CS/DS or a related field with several years of data management/analysis experience and FME/TransactSQL certifications. English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• University degree in CS/DS or related field with at least 3 years data management/analysis experience OR 5 years non-university experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience handling large data sets, data warehouses and data marts using FME.
• Certification/training in FME and TransactSQL is required.
• Experience in infectious diseases, epidemiology or public health is a plus.
• Experience in TransactSQL and Python or R is a plus.
• Excellent command of English.

Responsibilities

Data Manager (FME)

We currently have a vacancy for a Data Manager (FME) fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert remotely (within EU). In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Tasks

• Design and implement automated data flows to integrate data and processes into the contracting authority’s systems and databases (historical data migration and new ETL flows);
• Performance monitoring and improvement of existing and new ETL flows;
• Ensure data quality is properly defined, documented, analysed and monitored;
• Support data analysis, modelling and visualisation in close collaboration with internal stakeholders, such as disease surveillance experts and fellow data managers.

Requirements

• University degree within the field of computer science, data science, or another related field; with at least three years of experience in data management/analysis OR non-university degree with at least five years of experience in data management/analysis;
• Minimum 3 years of recent experience in handling large complex data sets, working with data warehouses and data marts using FME;
• A certification/training in FME and TransactSQL is required;
• Experience in data management/analysis in infectious diseases, epidemiology or public health will be considered an asset;
• Experience in TransactSQL and Python/or R will be considered an asset;
• Excellent command of the English language.
