Job summary

At Mediq, we are seeking a Manager Master Data Management (MDM) Northern Europe to lead data governance and quality across the region. You will partner with Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance, IT and Data Governance to translate requirements into practical data standards and processes.

The role blends strategic thinking with hands-on collaboration, driving improvements and shaping the foundation for data‑driven decisions across the business.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, or enterprise data management programs.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP-driven data management, especially SAP; IFS is a plus.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience leading improvement initiatives and delivering measurable business value through process optimization and data quality improvements.
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification, Yellow Belt or higher preferred.
  • PRINCE2/Agile or similar project/change delivery certification is a plus.
  • DAMA-DMBOK/CDMP or similar data management certification is a plus.
  • Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main liaison for MDM and Data Governance topics across functions.
  • Translate governance principles and data standards into practical processes and instructions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on data quality, efficiency, standardization, and performance.
  • Coordinate with the MDM Operations team to align day-to-day activities with data standards.
  • Identify bottlenecks and drive cross-team resolutions.
  • Support Mediq-wide data standards and governance principles.
  • Work with Data Owners, Data Stewards and stakeholders to clarify ownership and decision rights.
  • Contribute to system changes and upgrades by providing MDM input into designs and workflows.
  • Aim for high accuracy, completeness, and reliability across key master data domains.

At Mediq, high-quality data is essential to how we support healthcare every day. We are now looking for a Manager Master Data Management (MDM) Northern Europe who wants to play a key role in strengthening the quality, consistency, and governance of our business-critical data across the region.

As part of our Northern European organization, you will work closely with colleagues across Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance, IT, Data Governance, and Data Management. You will act as the linkbetween Commercial,operations and ourMaster Data Governance and Operationorganization,ensuring that data standards, governance principles, and business requirements are translated into practical ways of working that support operational excellence.

About the role

As Manager Master Data Management (MDM) Northern Europe, you will be the primary point of contact for all Master Data Management and Data Governance-related topics across the business. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, translate requirements into operational activities, and ensure consistent execution across key master data domains.

The role combines strategic thinking with hands‑on collaboration and continuous improvement, helping to ensure that master data supports efficient business operations and high data quality standards.

Key responsibilities
  • Act as the main contact for Master Data Management and Data Governance topics across Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance, Operations, IT, Data Governance, and Data Management.
  • Gather, clarify, and challenge business requirements related to master data and translate them into clear operational activities for the MDM Operations team.
  • Translate governance principles, data standards, and quality requirements into practical processes, instructions, and ways of working.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on data quality, process efficiency, standardization, and operational performance.
  • Coordinate with the MDM Operations(Global Business Services)team to ensure day‑to‑day master data activities are aligned with business priorities and agreed data standards.
  • Identify bottlenecks in the operational process and work with the relevant teams to resolve them.
  • Support the implementation ofMediq-wide data standards, governanceprinciplesand data quality rules.
  • Work with Data Owners, DataStewardsand business stakeholders to clarify ownership, approval flows and decision rights.
  • Drive improvements in data accuracy, completeness,consistencyand reliability across key master data domains.
  • Partner with IT, ERPteamsand system owners to ensure MDM requirements are included in system changes,implementationsand upgrades.
  • Provide MDM input into solution design, workflows, validations, approvals,testingand deployment.
What you bring
  • You are a collaborative and proactive professional who enjoys working across functions, building relationships, anddrivingimprovements.You combine strong business understanding with hands‑on Master Data Management expertise andhave the ability totranslate complex requirements into practical solutions that create value.
  • Relevant experience within Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, or enterprise data management programs.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP-driven data management, particularly within SAP environments. Experience with IFS is considered an advantage.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships and drive alignment across functions and teams.
  • Experience leading improvement initiatives and creating measurable business value through process optimization, standardization, and improved data quality.
  • Lean/ Six Sigma certification, preferably Yellow Belt, Green Belt or higher, is preferred.
  • Prince2,Agile/Scrum or similar project/change delivery certification is a plus.
  • DAMA-DMBOK / CDMP or similar data management certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or large-scale transformation programs is considered an advantage.Fluency in English isrequired.
