Job summary

Strawberry in Stockholm is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our central Tech BI team. You’ll build scalable datasets and data models powering business decisions, digital products and AI solutions, working at the heart of our modern data stack.

You’ll own pipelines in Snowflake, orchestrate with Airflow, transform with dbt, and code in Python while collaborating with Data Product Teams and engineers. This role requires strong English communication and a passion for clean architecture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, BI, or Data Architecture.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, and hands-on experience with dbt and Airflow.
• Programming in Python for data manipulation, workflow automation, and integrations.
• Understanding of cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and modern CI/CD/Git practices.
• Experience collaborating with product teams and business stakeholders to solve real-world problems.
• Excellent English communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Core Platform Ownership: Build, maintain, and optimize the core datasets, transformations and pipelines that power our enterprise data platform.
• Partner with Data Product Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored datasets, analytics solutions, and actionable insights.
• Own the Data Lifecycle: Design and implement scalable data models in Snowflake, leveraging dbt for transformations and documentation.
• Build ELT Workflows: Develop, orchestrate, and optimize reliable data pipelines using Airflow.
• Drive AI & Innovation: Collaborate with engineering and product teams to enable advanced analytics and AI-driven data products.
• Code & Automate: Use Python to build data pipelines, automate workflows and integrate source systems.
• Ensure Quality & Documentation: Monitor and document data assets for easy reuse.
