Job summary

RPS Softwares AB is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design and implement scalable, cloud-based data solutions on Google Cloud Platform. You will work on data pipelines, ETL processes, and modern data architectures to support BI and analytics initiatives.

The role requires 7+ years in software development and data engineering, with hands-on GCP experience and strong Python/SQL skills. You will collaborate with architects, product owners, and developers to enable CI/CD and IaC practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Software development and data engineering.
• Hands-on experience with GCP or similar cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Python, BigQuery, and SQL.
• Experience with Dataform, Airflow, Pub/Sub, and Docker.
• Understanding of modern data architectures, including Data Warehouse and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with ETL processes and data modelling, such as dimensional modelling or Data Vault.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD.
• Experience with GitLab.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform.

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to work with business-critical data flows, reporting solutions, and modern cloud-based data platforms. The client is undergoing a major transformation from legacy platforms to a modern cloud-native data ecosystem on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role involves technical design, development, implementation, modernization, and maintenance of data solutions.

Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or another relevant field .

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud & Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, implement, and maintain scalable cloud-based data solutions, modern data pipelines, APIs, and ETL processes using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, Dataform, Airflow, Pub/Sub, and Docker.
