Job Description

Builds robust, secure, and high-performing REST and/or GraphQL APIs that enable smooth information flow between data warehouses and client applications.

Understands frontend needs and adapts API design and data models to ensure fast UI load times and flexible development. Experienced in design and architecture discussions to secure well-functioning integrations.

Proven track record working with caching strategies, indexing, partitioning, and parallelization to maximize efficiency in data storage and access.

Data Engineering

• Experience optimizing BigQuery (BI Engine experience is a plus) or equivalent data warehouse solutions (Snowflake, Redshift, etc.)
• Experience with dbt
• Strong understanding of performance/cost modeling, with a focus on trade-offs in API consumption contexts
• Curious, proactive, and strong problem-solving skills

Tech Stack

• GCP (or equivalent cloud platforms AWS, Azure)

On SLA

In 2025, we have had around 5–6 incidents outside office hours. On-call availability should mean being able to respond within 60 minutes of an alert. Typical incidents involve real-time dataflow interruptions, long API response times/timeouts, or missing data. Resolution time expectations are still under discussion internally.
