Job summary

HCLTech in Gothenburg is seeking a senior data engineer who can translate business needs into technical solutions and own end-to-end data pipelines for scalable data platforms.

The candidate will work with stakeholders, implement pipelines using SQL, Python and PySpark, and collaborate across teams. On-site work in Gothenburg is required, with strong emphasis on DevOps, Databricks, and data modeling.

Qualifications

• 5 years of data engineering experience.
• Experience implementing data pipelines for data processing and transformation.
• Setup and management of Azure DevOps pipelines, releases, and deployments.
• Active engagement with Databricks environments and related workflows.
• Strong coding skills in SQL, Python, and PySpark.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks Workflows, and Clusters.
• Fabric knowledge and JSON ingestion experience.
• Experience in BI projects with data modeling background (3 years).
• Proficient with Git and DevOps practices.
• Able to work on-site in Gothenburg offices.
• Strong teamwork and communication.

Job description

We are looking for a senior data engineer

This person should be able to understand business stakeholders and translate their needs into technical solutions.

Must have

• Good data engineering background – 5 years of experience
• Solely implemented data engineering pipelines for data processing, data transformation
• Set up Azure DevOps in project from start till end, with strong focus on configurations, setting up pipelines, releases, deployments, hotfixes
• Actively engaged in Databricks Environment
• Coding skills in SQL, python, pyspark, Scripts
• Working experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks Workflows, Clusters
• Fabric knowledge and JSON ingestion
• Have worked in different BI projects with good data modeling background – 3 years of experience in BI projects: good business understanding, data modeling
• Working experience with Git, DevOps
• Active collaborator, should be transparent and have to have to good engagement with team
• Experience to handle multiple projects in parallel
• Good team player and good communication skills
• Able to work on-site in our offices in Gothenburg
