Job summary

Techrytera AB is seeking a skilled Data Engineer with 6-9 years of experience to join Vattenfall's IT department Asset Analytics Distribution. You will design and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes, supporting data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Databricks, SQL, and Python, along with a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Strong communication skills in Swedish and English are essential.

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer, 6-9y of experience, to Vattenfall's IT department Asset Analytics Distribution.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure and Databricks.
• Ingest, transform, and model data from diverse sources to enable reliable analytics and reporting.
• Develop semantic models and create Power BI reports to support data‑driven decision making.
• Perform data quality checks, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Document and communicate data engineering processes and outcomes.
• Support data awareness and training initiatives within the organization.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience as Data Engineer.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure, Databricks, SQL, Python, and (including CI/CD).
• Experience with data ingestion, transformation, and semantic modeling.
• Hands‑on experience and confident working with large data volumes is a plus (tables holding trillions of rows).
• Knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL concepts.
• Familiarity with Power BI.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, and Azure Storage Explorer.
• Excellent communication skills Swedish and English.
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computational Engineering Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
