Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Sweden is seeking a Cybersecurity Project Manager to oversee and drive cybersecurity activities within delivery projects, ensuring on-time delivery, budget control, and adherence to high security standards across our HVDC solutions.

You will coordinate with Project Directors and stakeholders, define resources, manage plans and risks, and communicate across vendors and teams to protect critical national infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in HVDC project management or cybersecurity.
  • Fluency in English; Swedish preferred for local collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, execution, and closing of cybersecurity activities.
  • Define resource requirements with stakeholders across disciplines.
  • Manage plans, schedules, budgets, and report milestones and risks.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, develop contingency plans.
  • Facilitate communication among project teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure activities meet time, budget, and security standards.

The opportunity

You will be a part of the future Energy Transformation as a Cybersecurity project manager at Hitachi Energy. You will be responsible for overseeing and driving the successful execution of various cybersecurity activities within our delivery projects You will ensure that activities are performed on time, within budget and meet the high-security standards expected from a global technology leader.

As a Cybersecurity Project Manager, you will be an important player in our delivery of Critical National Infrastructure, CNI, and support the Project Director and the team with customer activities as well as making sure Cybersecurity activities are on time. How You’ll Make An Impact
  • Lead the planning, execution, and closing of cybersecurity activities, including but not limited to security incident response, customer dialogue in relation to requirements for Cybersecurity and standards, vulnerability management, risk assessments, and operational security process improvements.
  • Execute project activities according to base time schedule and targets.
  • Define resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders across various technical disciplines.
  • Manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, tracking progress and reporting on key milestones and risks to Project Directors and management.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans and escalating critical concerns as necessary
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members, vendors, and internal and external stakeholders.
Your background
  • As a Project Manager you are structured, open-minded and communicative.
  • Proven working experience in relevant field e.g. within HVDC Project Management, Cybersecurity, or similar.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or have equivalent work experience.
  • As you will be part of a company that operates on a global arena, fluency in English is required. Swedish is strongly preferable for collaboration with local stakeholders.
  • Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and verbal.
  • You are a curious person with the drive to challenge yourself and the organization for continuous development in both short and long term.
  • Contract Management experience and experience from field operations, C&P engineering and main circuit equipment is considered valuable
