Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Cybersecurity Project Manager to lead delivery projects with a focus on cybersecurity activities. You will ensure timely and budget-conscious execution and uphold high security standards as part of a global technology leader.

As a key player, you will collaborate with the Project Director and teams, manage risks, and drive continuous improvement in security processes across HVDC-related initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Proven working experience in project management and cybersecurity.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
  • Fluency in English; Swedish is preferred for local collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cybersecurity activities within delivery projects, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence.
  • Oversee planning, execution, and closing of cybersecurity tasks such as incident response, risk assessments, and vulnerability management.
  • Define resources with stakeholders and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Report milestones and risks to project leadership and manage cross-functional collaboration.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks; develop contingency plans and escalate critical issues.
  • Support effective communication with vendors and internal/external stakeholders.

The opportunity

You will be a part of the future Energy Transformation as a Cybersecurity project manager at Hitachi Energy. You will be responsible for overseeing and driving the successful execution of various cybersecurity activities within our delivery projects You will ensure that activities are performed on time, within budget and meet the high-security standards expected from a global technology leader.

How You'll Make An Impact
  • Lead the planning, execution, and closing of cybersecurity activities, including but not limited to security incident response, customer dialogue in relation to requirements for Cybersecurity and standards, vulnerability management, risk assessments, and operational security process improvements.
  • Execute project activities according to base time schedule and targets.
  • Define resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders across various technical disciplines.
  • Manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, tracking progress and reporting on key milestones and risks to Project Directors and management.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans and escalating critical concerns as necessary
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members, vendors, and internal and external stakeholders.
Your background
  • As a Project Manager you are structured, open-minded and communicative.
  • Proven working experience in relevant field e.g. within HVDC Project Management, Cybersecurity, or similar.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or have equivalent work experience.
  • As you will be part of a company that operates on a global arena, fluency in English is required. Swedish is strongly preferable for collaboration with local stakeholders.
  • Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and verbal.
  • You are a curious person with the drive to challenge yourself and the organization for continuous development in both short and long term.
  • Contract Management experience and experience from field operations, C&P engineering and main circuit equipment is considered valuable
