Corporate Relations Manager, Hydro Sweden

Do you have experience in communication and stakeholder management within energy or climate‑related topics? We are looking for a Corporate Relations Manager to support our hydro business in Sweden by managing stakeholder relations, communication, and advocacy activities.

This is a temporary position for approximately one year due to a parental leave.

About the role

In this role, you will act as a business partner for hydro operations in Sweden, focusing on communication, stakeholder management, and regulatory environment support.

Main Responsibilities

• Planning and executing an integrated communication and stakeholder management plan at local, regional, and national levels
• Providing hands‑on support to the hydro business in communication and stakeholder‑related matters
• Acting as a media spokesperson on hydro‑related topics in Sweden
• Influencing and advising on national and EU‑level topics affecting hydro
• Securing Fortum’s public license to operate and expand hydro power in Sweden
• Aligning and coordinating messaging with other communication departments in Fortum

About you

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

• At least 5 years of experience in communication and stakeholder management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English
• Strong understanding of energy and climate‑related issues
• Experience in working with stakeholders at local, regional, and national levels
• Ability to plan and execute communication and stakeholder strategies independently
• Experience in media interactions and acting as a spokesperson is considered an advantage
• Ability to collaborate across functions and align messaging in a complex organisation
