Job summary

Flower Technologies AB, based in Stockholm, is seeking a passionate Construction Project Manager to lead battery energy storage system projects from groundbreaking through COD. You will be the main interface for internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring on‑time delivery and compliant execution on site.

This hands‑on role requires a technical background in engineering, 3+ years in construction management, and knowledge of European building codes.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent with construction management experience.
• 3+ years in construction management or site management.
• Fluency in English; German is a plus.
• Experience in energy infrastructure construction and BESS is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations - manage all project and site logistics.
• Maintain project controls - schedule, budget, and change management; report KPIs.
• Manage contractor relationships - bids, RFIs, disputes, scope/schedule.
• Drive HSE compliance across all contractors on site.
• Lead commissioning and handover with as‑built docs and warranties.
• Ensure grid connection work stays on schedule and compliant.
• Act as the main point of contact for internal/external stakeholders.
• Travel to site as required.

About The Role

As our Construction Project Manager you’ll own the construction and execution phase of our battery energy storage system (BESS) projects from breaking ground to commercial operation date (COD). You’ll be the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, keep project controls and documentation on track, lead delivery and commissioning activities on site, and ultimately hand a fully operational asset over to our Asset Management team or another third party. It’s a technical, hands‑on role for someone who thrives on turning complex EPC projects into successfully delivered, high‑performing assets.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations - manage all project and site logistics
• Maintain project controls - own schedule, budget, and change management throughout the construction and execution phase, lead weekly meetings with contractors, and report KPIs and progress to management
• Manage contractor relationships - review and evaluate contractor bids and submittals, respond to RFIs, hold contractors accountable to scope and schedule, and resolve on‑site issues and disputes as they arise
• Drive HSE compliance across all contractors on site and ensure construction and installation work meets all quality and safety standards
• Lead commissioning and handover - coordinate and lead commissioning activities on site, and manage the handover to a fully operational asset, including as‑built documentation, O&M manuals, warranties, and punch list closeout
• Manage project compliance and ensure grid connection works stay on schedule
• Act as the main point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders
• Travel to site as required

Who You Are

• A degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent qualifications & experience
• 3+ years of experience in Construction Management, Site Management, Construction Project Engineering, or similar
• Fluency in English, German is a plus
• Proven experience working in energy infrastructure construction projects
• Familiar with European building codes and regulations
• Proficient with Microsoft Projects, Excel and AutoCAD
• Problem‑solving, decision‑making, organisation skills are key to succeed
• Solid knowledge in BESS systems is a plus

Our beautiful office is located in the heart of Södermalm, just a short walk from Slussen subway station. We encourage in‑office collaboration but support a hybrid work model.
