Qualifications

  • Must have a degree in Engineering or Finance or a related field.
  • Strong interest in technology and procurement, and willingness to learn about products over time.
  • Fluent English; Swedish proficiency is meritorious.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel for presentations and data analysis.

A Snapshot of Your Day Join us as a Commodity Manager, where you will be the driving force behind the procurement strategy for your designated commodity area. You will ensure a well-functioning supplier base, delivering quality and timely results. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supplier performance and drive cost improvements by strategically managing supplier relationships. Your role will involve analyzing risks in the supply chain, including geopolitical and financial factors, while leveraging market analysis support to inform your strategies. You will engage with suppliers, gather insights, and lead negotiations to establish favorable business terms.

You will be part of a dynamic and supportive team of Commodity Managers dedicated to procurement for mechanical and electrical systems related to gas turbines. We work closely with internal customers and various functions to ensure that we have the right materials and suppliers to meet our production needs. As a Commodity Manager, you will play a key role in fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation, where every member’s input is valued. Together, we tackle challenges and drive improvements, making a significant impact on our operations and the overall success of Siemens Energy.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
