Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Clearance Broker to support our Customs Clearance team. You will review shipment data, prepare accurate clearance declarations, and engage with customers and government agencies to ensure compliant processing.

You will help resolve disputes and advise customers on the best clearance services, all within a fast-paced office setting. We offer strong training, development opportunities, and comprehensive benefits as part of a global logistics leader.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy office environment and contributing to team performance.

Responsibilities

What you will be doing:

• Reviewing shipments data to understand the exact customer and regulatory requirements and checking the accuracy and completeness of documentation supplied
• Using in-house systems to create accurate and legally compliant clearance declarations
• Contacting customers or government agencies to clarify information when needed
• Resolving routine customer and customs disputes
• Building effective relationships with our customers and helping them to choose the best suited clearance services
• Working within tight time frames in a busy office environment

What do you bring with you:

• Good team working skills with experience of contributing to team performance in a busy office environment
• Experience or working knowledge of key clearance related principles, Import/Export processes and regulatory requirements, CHIEF entries and commercial flights processing is desired
• Customer focused with excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to make sound numerical decisions within tight time deadlines
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good Microsoft Office and PC skills
