British American Tobacco Sweden has an exciting opportunity for a Chemical Laboratory Coordinator in Malmo

We are looking for a Chemical Laboratory Coordinator to ensure that Fiedler & Lundgren products are tested and compliant to prevailing global and local standards as well as product regulations in market, and to govern products’ positive release from chemical lab, block and report deviations to Line Manager without delay.

Responsibilities
  • Execute F&L product sampling, testing, and chemical analysis in line with compliance standards, GAT methods, and product specifications.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and product safety through positive release, monitoring performance, and escalating non-compliance issues.
  • Prepare and analyze chemical samples using Gas Chromatography and other methods; validate results accurately.
  • Perform chemical, physical, and visual analysis on products, raw materials, and NPI (New Product Introduction) as well as BAU activities.
  • Document, analyze, and report test data, including trend and performance analysis.
  • Calibrate, maintain, and organize lab/test equipment, ensuring timely maintenance and accurate performance.
  • Conduct monthly wastewater analysis and cross-checks on factory lab equipment.
  • Support quality department initiatives, lead or contribute to projects, and proactively improve lab methods.
What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field with proven lab experience (food/medical industry preferred).
  • Confident in handling hazardous/flammable substances with a strong safety mindset.
  • Skilled in MS Office Suite, databases, and comfortable working under pressure with autonomy.
  • Strong analytical mindset, detail orientation, and proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey findings clearly.
  • Team-oriented collaborator with a positive attitude and self-driven work ethic.
