Job description

Are you passionate about sourcing, supplier development, and building strong partnerships that create long-term business value? At Thule, we're looking for a Category Buyer who will play an important role in developing our supplier base, improving supplier performance, and securing the right capabilities to support our continued growth.

What you'll do at Thule

As a Category Buyer, you will take an active role in developing and improving the supplier base for Fasteners, Locks and Castings, in line with the category strategy. Working closely with the Category Manager you will continuously look for ways to improve how we work. This includes identifying opportunities for optimization, finding synergies, and driving initiatives that improve performance, cost and sustainability.

A key part of the role is to drive supplier performance and development together with Logistics, Quality, Supply Planning, and other stakeholders. You will work closely with suppliers to secure the right capacity and flexibility, improve delivery performance, optimize MOQ and lead times, and identify opportunities for cost reductions. You will also take responsibility for addressing escalated delivery issues and ensuring that suppliers are able to meet the requirements of new development projects.

You will also contribute to sustainability initiatives, including supplier roadmaps, CO₂ reduction activities, and reporting. The role involves a high level of business interaction and daily problem-solving, with travel depending on the needs of the business.

What you bring

To succeed in this role, we believe you are used to working in an international setting and enjoy collaborating with different teams and stakeholders. You feel comfortable handling supplier dialogues and negotiations, and you bring a mix of both strategic thinking and hands-on understanding. Experience in the fasteners or castings industry is considered an advantage, but is not a requirement.

You are comfortable working with complex business relationships and solving problems on a daily basis. Experience with ERP systems, preferably Infor M3, and an understanding of ERP logic is important.

In addition, you are fluent in English, both spoken and written, and have a relevant academic background or equivalent work experience. As a person, you are driven and structured, with a natural ability to build relationships and communicate clearly. You have a strong analytical mindset and enjoy solving problems and improving ways of working. You take initiative, follow through, and contribute with an approach to get things done.

Why you should join Thule

At Thule, we believe in strong teamwork both within your own team but also cross functional between teams. We strive to be an open and curious organization, sharing our knowledge and inspiring one another.

Within Thule you will find people who have a passion for the products we make and the outdoor company we are. We share the same values, and we like to have fun. All of our employees have a joint responsibility to maintain that spirit and contribute to it.

Hiring Process

The application deadline is September 13, 2026.
