Job description

Requirements Summary:

  • Strong experience with combustion engines is essential.
  • Background with Volvo or similar industry experience is highly valuable
  • Proven experience working with EAT (Engine Aftertreatment) systems—you should have a solid understanding of how these systems operate and interact with the engine. Full system-level experience is required.
  • Software knowledge is a strong advantage, especially in relation to engine calibration.
  • The role involves Primarily on-site work as testing is done on site

The position also includes responsibilities related to data post-processing and analysis.

Project Details:

  • Run engine test cells to optimise and validate engine and aftertreatment system (EATS) performance, ensuring legal compliance and feature fulfilment.
  • Calibrate embedded software functions for engines and EATS based on defined prerequisites.
  • Perform and support engine performance development and calibration activities in ongoing projects.
  • Contribute to the selection of hardware component specifications (e.g., fuel injection equipment, turbochargers).
  • Follow and contribute to verification and validation plans for engines and EATS.
  • Support product maintenance by proposing and implementing technical solutions.
  • Drive method and tool improvements within the engine performance team.

Actively share knowledge and provide mentorship to new team members.
