Job summary

Ascom in Gothenburg is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to take end-to-end responsibility for mechanical design. You'll work on robust handheld products and collaborate across functions, leading advanced MCAD work in PTC Creo.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in mechanical product design, particularly with molded plastic, and will thrive in a cross-functional environment. Ascom offers a meaningful role that directly impacts healthcare and safety.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in mechanical product design with end-to-end responsibility for end products.
• Strong capability in Creo (Pro‑E).
• Proven experience in designing molded plastic for series production.
• Experience in regulated environments (UL/ETL/IEC; ISO/FDA).
• Ability to manage dependencies in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical design and product configuration from requirement to verified design.
• Drive advanced MCAD work in PTC Creo, especially for molded plastic.
• Design and verify mechanics at multiple levels in a regulated context.
• Work cross-functionally, collaborating with electronic design and purchasing.
• Participate in supplier evaluations and tooling decisions.
