About the Category team

The Category function in a market is responsible for driving revenue by managing activities, programs around branding, marketing, consumer experience and digital channels. They do not only handle the portfolio but are also in close touch with the consumer landscape to shape the programs, consumer journey and overall category strategy to win with consumers.

Role summary:

As a Business Partner (Analytics Translator) to the Category function, you’ll bridge the gap between business needs and data solutions. You’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders to turn complex questions into actionable insights—whether through reports, models, or advanced analytics. By crafting compelling data stories and driving adoption, you’ll help teams make smarter decisions and unlock measurable value.

While the role is local to the Nordics, the team is a part of a global team, with opportunities to develop and grow in other Data Insights and Analytics (DIA) capabilities and roles.

Your “day to day”
  • Translate Category business questions/needs into scalable analytics solutions (Reports, dashboards, data science models, self-service) or ad hoc analysis to influence business leaders with data-backed insights.
  • Lead analytics initiatives and ensure timely delivery by working with technical (engineering, BI, data scientist, data governance) and consumer research within the DIA team.
  • Build partnerships with senior stakeholders, including Head of Smoke Free Products (SFP) and their direct reports.
  • Provide problem-solving support to the product team during analytics solution conceptualization and delivery.
  • Drive the adoption and value proposition of analytics solutions in the market.
  • Manage the value delivered through the analytics solutions for the category team, in terms of efficiency and delivery of the category strategy.
  • Use agile methodology to deliver value in an iterative, incremental manner.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to provide actionable insights.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Who you are
  • At least 7 years of working experience in relevant field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in data analysis or business analysis roles, preferably in FMCG in an international environment.
  • University degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong skills in value realization, storytelling, problem solving, collaboration, negotiation, influence, and strategic vision.
  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI
