Job summary

EQT Group in Stockholm seeks a Vice President Business Controller to join the Private Capital Europe & North America Business Controlling team, supporting a dispersed team across Stockholm, Luxembourg, Amsterdam and Bengaluru.

You will act as sparring partner on strategic controlling, oversee portfolio performance, lead valuations, budgeting, and internal reporting while helping scale the team and drive data quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in financial, business and/or cost controlling.
• International experience is a plus.
• Experience in financial services or Big 4 is a merit.
• Advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Acting as sparring partner on strategic business controlling matters.
• Monitoring portfolio company performance, fund liquidity planning and cash movements to give an accurate, real-time view of fund performance.
• Lead valuation work on portfolio companies.
• Tracking and monitoring exit forecasts.
• Contributing to strategic planning, annual budgeting and internal reporting.
• Helping evolve and streamline team structures and processes as EQT continues to scale.
• Partnering with the group business line function to provide a consolidated, analytically rigorous, commercially focused perspective.
• Driving data quality and digitalization initiatives, in line with EQT's broader digital agenda.
• Running and presenting analyses for the Business Line Management Group.

This role reports to the Head of Business Control, Private Capital Europe & North America.

About The Team

The Business Line Controlling team supports planning, performance management and decision‑making across EQT's business lines. The team connects financial data with business priorities and creates transparency around performance.

Candidate Profile

• University degree in a relevant field

• Fluent written and spoken English
