WeQuel is seeking a Business Developer Controlling in Södertälje to join the client's Business Development and Strategy team within R&D, focusing on financial governance, planning, and strategic decision-making.

You will blend finance and controlling expertise with business development and strategic project management, driving initiatives that shape how the R&D organization operates and collaborates across functions.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in project management and finance/controlling.
• Experience in finance, controlling, or financial business development.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization and analytics tools.
• Strong skills in financial analysis and accounting.

Responsibilities

• Clarifying and developing financial interfaces, roles, and responsibilities between the client’s R&D, group-level R&D, and other units.
• Driving strategic finance and controlling projects within R&D.
• Improving financial planning, reporting, and follow-up processes.
• Prioritizing the client’s brand R&D investments with Commercial stakeholders.
• Developing financial governance, management processes, and internal controls.
• Analyzing financial data to identify key drivers, improve data quality, and increase transparency in performance.
• Identifying and developing digital and AI-based solutions for financial processes and decision-making.
• Coordinating financial activities for externally funded R&D projects where applicable.

We at WeQuel are now looking for a Business Developer Controlling in Södertälje, where you will become an important part of the client's Business Development and Strategy team within R&D, with a focus on financial governance, planning, and strategic decision-making. The role combines finance and controlling expertise with business development and strategic project management, working across organizational boundaries. You will also drive strategic initiatives that shape how the client's R&D organization operates. The team works with functional strategies and ways of working, and supports and challenges R&D management in strategic and cross-functional questions.

As a consultant with us, you will have the opportunity to work with one of our clients, leading companies in the automotive and heavy vehicle industry, where you will help strengthen financial governance, improve planning and decision-making processes, and develop digital and AI-based solutions for the future.

Your responsibilities:

• Clarifying and developing financial interfaces, roles, and responsibilities between the client's R&D, group-level R&D, and other relevant units
• Driving strategic finance and controlling projects within R&D

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in project management and finance/controlling
• Experience in finance, controlling, or financial business development
• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering and Management, Engineering, or Economics
• Excellent English communication skills
• Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization and analytics tools
• Strong skills in financial analysis and accounting
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional initiatives
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills

• Swedish, German, or Portuguese
