Job summary
Ellos Group in Borås is seeking a results-driven Business Controller for Elpy. You will monitor financial performance, drive budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close, and develop KPIs and dashboards to support strategic decisions.
You will collaborate across Finance, Product, Tech and Management, translating data into actionable insights and business value while guiding improvement initiatives in a dynamic fintech-enabled e-commerce environment.
Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent higher education in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, month-end closing and performance monitoring
- Solid understanding of accounting, financial management and financial analysis
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets
- Experience in reporting and data visualization using Power BI or similar tools
- Strong communication skills in Swedish and English, written and spoken
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control the existing credit, loan, and insurance business
- Be responsible for budgeting and forecasting for the business area
- Run deep-dive analysis to find optimization opportunities
- Model and evaluate new business opportunities
- Manage the collection (Inkasso) stock
- Support optimization of our credit scorecards and fraud rules
- Drive continuous improvements through IT solutions and lead the development of BI
- Lead and support development projects
- Provide general support to the business

As a Business Controller for Elpy, you will play a key role in monitoring, analysing and developing the financial performance of the business. Elpy is Ellos Group’s payment brand and operates in a dynamic and continuously evolving environment. In this role we expect you to get involved in projects and bring ideas, you will work closely with the business, and providing financial analysis, decision support and insights that help the organisation grow profitably and sustainably.
Your responsibilities will include budgeting, forecasting, month-end closing, performance monitoring and analysis of revenue, costs and profitability. You will also be responsible for developing relevant KPIs, reports and dashboards, ensuring that decision-makers have access to the right information at the right time.
You will be part of an engaged team and collaborate with a wide range of functions, including Finance, Product, Tech, Commercial and Management. The role combines both operational and strategic responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to influence ways of working, processes and performance management. As a trusted business partner, you will translate financial information into clear recommendations and actionable insights.

We are looking for an analytical and commercially minded Business Controller with a strong understanding of financial management and business performance. You have several years of experience in controlling, financial analysis or a similar field, and you are comfortable independently driving analyses and presenting financial insights to different audiences.
You are structured, detail-oriented and solution-focused, while also being able to see the bigger picture and understand how different parts of the business impact financial performance. You thrive in a role with many stakeholders and have the ability to build trust by communicating complex information in a clear and accessible way.
