BESS Power Trader – Nordic Markets

Zusammenfassung

Ingrid is seeking a power trader to take operational ownership of trading algorithms across day-ahead, Nordic ancillary capacity auctions, and intraday markets. The role is hands-on, market-facing, and requires tuning parameters and monitoring live performance of the engines.

You will work with Asset Management, Algo, Quant, and Engineering teams to keep trading activity aligned with the portfolio and roadmap, with weekend coverage as part of the shift schedule.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in European physical power markets or trading desk operations.
• Understanding of wholesale power markets (day-ahead, intraday, balancing) and Nordic ancillary service markets (FCR, aFRR, mFRR).
• Knowledge of REMIT, BRP obligations, settlement and imbalance processes, and TSOs interactions.

Aufgaben

• Operate BESS trading algorithms in real time across day-ahead, ancillary, and intraday markets.
• Validate bids generated by optimization engine for day-ahead and Nordic auctions.
• Reconcile and validate trade results; flag and investigate discrepancies.
• Track and report algorithm performance across markets and identify deviations from expectations.
• Act as operational contact for settlement, imbalance, and BRP-related matters with TSOs and counterparties.
• Support the algo and quant teams in developing new trading strategies and provide trader’s perspective.
