Job summary

Ingrid seeks an experienced power trader to take operational ownership of trading algorithms across day-ahead, Nordic ancillary, and intraday markets. You will monitor live performance, adjust parameters, and ensure execution aligns with the portfolio strategy while collaborating with multiple teams.

Weekend shifts are required to cover all trading hours. The role prefers experience in European power markets, strong market knowledge, and programming awareness (Python) as a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in European physical power markets or similar trading environments.
• Strong knowledge of wholesale power markets (day-ahead and intraday) and Nordic ancillary services.
• Understanding of BESS revenue streams and regulatory landscape (REMIT/BRP).
• Comfort with algorithmic/automated trading and real-time decision making.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, business, physics, or energy systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate BESS trading algorithms in real time across day‑ahead, ancillary and intraday markets.
• Validate bids submitted to auctions and reconcile results with expectations.
• Track algorithm performance and report deviations from backtests.
• Serve as operational contact for settlement, imbalance, and BRP matters with TSOs and market counterparts.
• Collaborate with Asset Management, Algo, Quant and Engineering to refine trading strategies.
• Back test performance and contribute to evaluation frameworks for new strategies.
• Maintain alignment between live trading and portfolio/technical roadmap.
