Job summary

Urban Italian Group is seeking a dynamic Bar Manager to lead the Basta bar team and deliver exceptional guest experiences. You’ll build a strong bar operation, ensure smooth service, and maintain standards that reflect Basta’s hospitality ethos.

Qualifications

• Has previous experience as a Bar Manager, Head Bartender or strong senior bartender.
• Understands cocktails, drinks quality, stock control and fast-paced service.
• Can lead and motivate a team with confidence and fairness.
• Is organised, hands-on and calm during busy services.
• Takes ownership of standards, guest experience and team development.
• Brings positive energy, personality and a love for hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Leading the daily bar operation and keeping service smooth, fast and consistent.
• Training, coaching and supporting the bar team from opening onwards.
• Maintaining high standards in drinks quality, presentation, cleanliness and guest experience.
• Managing stock, ordering, wastage and bar cost control.
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding and development of the bar team.
• Working closely with the GM and FOH team to create a great restaurant atmosphere.
• Bringing energy, ownership and Basta personality to the bar every day.

The Role

This role is for someone who brings energy, structure and personality to the bar. You will be responsible for building a strong bar team, delivering smooth service, keeping standards consistent, and making sure the bar feels like a key part of the Basta guest experience.

You will work closely with the General Manager and the wider restaurant team to create a bar operation that is fast, organised, commercial and full of hospitality.
