Quartr is seeking a Backend Engineer to join the Public API team. You will design, build, and run APIs and services that deliver Quartr's data to customers, while evolving the API with proper versioning and documentation.

You will contribute to data delivery beyond REST, including webhooks, Snowflake data shares, search capabilities, and tools for AI agents. You will own reliability, performance, and security in production, collaborating with product, data, and customer-facing teams to translate

We're now looking for a Backend Engineer to join our Public API team. The team owns how customers get Quartr's data into their own systems: our REST API, webhooks, and Snowflake data shares. We're also building search and an MCP server so customers and their AI agents can query transcripts, reports, and slides directly.

You’ll design, build, and run these products, with a high bar for reliability, performance, and developer experience. Our customers build on top of what we ship, so getting the details right matters.

Who you are

• You are a strong problem-solver with keen attention to detail.




• You take ownership of what you build, from design to production and capable of delivering high-quality solutions.




• You communicate clearly and work well in a collaborative team.

Tech

Required

• Backend development experience, ideally with NestJS and TypeScript.




• Experience designing and maintaining APIs used by customers or other teams.




• A solid track record of working with databases in production environments.

A plus, but not required

• Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.




• Experience with webhooks, data pipelines, and event-driven systems, such as CDC and Kafka.




• Experience with search engines such as OpenSearch or Elasticsearch.




• Experience with Snowflake or other data warehouses.




• Familiarity with MCP or building tools for AI agents.
