Job summary

Tibber is seeking a Backend Engineer to turn trading models into robust, production-ready systems that power smarter energy pricing for customers. You’ll collaborate with forecasting and trading teams to move models from development into reliable software.

In a fast-paced, high-impact environment, you’ll own end-to-end delivery, work with time series data, and partner with traders who rely on your outputs daily. Python and ML-heavy backends are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Strong Python skills and backend experience in ML-heavy environments.
• Hands-on experience with time series data and forecasting.
• Experience moving ML models from development into production.
• Proactive, entrepreneurial, end-to-end ownership in a small, high-impact team.
• Excellent communication with technical peers and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build forecasts that support Tibber's trading operations.
• Bridge model development and production-ready backend systems with ML models.
• Support both our retail trading and flex trading domains.
• Work hands-on with time series data.
• Collaborate closely with traders who act on outputs daily.
