Job summary

Axis Communications is seeking an experienced Software Project Manager to lead AXIS OS security and compliance initiatives in Lund, Sweden. You will manage software projects from planning through delivery within Linux user-space platform functionality, focusing on security solutions and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have a MSc in CS and at least five years in software project management for embedded/Linux environments, with strong SDLC understanding and excellent leadership and

• MSc in Computer Science or related field.
• ≥5 years in software development project management for embedded/Linux.
• Strong SDLC and Agile/Scrum/Waterfall knowledge.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience coordinating compliance work with CRA or Common Criteria is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of multiple software projects in the AXIS OS Security and Compliance domain.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations; track milestones and budgets.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate effective communication between development teams, product owners, and stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on project status, KPIs, and outcomes to all relevant parties.
• Ensure adherence to AXIS software development lifecycle processes and quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in project management practices and team execution.
• Manage dependencies across projects and teams, ensuring alignment with program goals.

You’ll also help us address existing compliance obligations and prepare for requirements as they emerge around the world.You’ll collaborate with development teams, product management, and other stakeholders to keep projects on track, aligned with their goals, and delivered to a high standard.
