We are looking for an experienced Project Manager Engineering (PME) Consultant to lead and manage the technical aspects of large-scale automotive projects. This role requires a deep understanding of product development, purchasing, and production processes to meet project goals and sub-targets effectively. As a PME, you will ensure technical excellence by planning, controlling, and monitoring critical activities across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

You will take executive responsibility for the technical scope of the project, working closely with the Chief Project Manager (CPM). The position involves collaboration with engineering, procurement, and production teams, ensuring alignment with time schedules, cost ceilings, and quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed schedules for technical project activities, identifying critical activities and mitigating risks.
  • Steer product features, costs, and investments to achieve project objectives.
  • Oversee quality and environmental compliance for both products and production processes.
  • Act as the primary communicator for technical issues across teams and external stakeholders.
  • Approve and monitor design requirements to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Formulate and coordinate sub-project targets, working collaboratively with sub-project leaders.
  • Provide comprehensive progress reports to the CPM and steering committees, offering clear alternatives for decision-making when necessary.
  • Ensure alignment with the Product Development (PD) process and drive its implementation across technical teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in managing technical components of complex projects, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with architecture and system development, particularly in Electrical and Software domains, is highly advantageous.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead technical teams, allocate resources, and make critical decisions under tight deadlines.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills for identifying and resolving project challenges while maintaining focus on deliverables.
