Job summary

Knowit Sweden in Lund is seeking a Software Engineer within Automotive to build embedded software for ADAS, electrification, and connected vehicles. You will work on hands-on development with opportunities to influence architecture and technical direction.

You will develop safety-critical software in C/C++, work close to the OS with RTOS, Linux, or QNX, and collaborate with systems engineers, testers, and hardware teams to ensure end-to-end functionality.

Qualifications

• Several years of embedded software or automotive software experience.
• Solid knowledge of C and C++.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems and low-level behavior.
• Experience with RTOS, Linux, QNX or similar environments.
• Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs and collaborate across software, systems, testing, and hardware disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Develop safety-critical embedded software in C and C++.
• Work close to the operating system using RTOS, Linux, or QNX.
• Debug and optimize timing-critical systems and resource-constrained platforms.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, testers, and hardware teams to ensure end-to-end functionality.
• Contribute to software architecture, technical decisions, testing, and quality assurance.
