Job summary

Knowit Connectivity in Lund, Sweden, is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to work on automotive systems. You will design and implement safety-critical software in C/C++, often close to the OS with RTOS, Linux, or QNX, and contribute to architecture and testing.

You will collaborate with systems, hardware, and testing teams to ensure end-to-end functionality, with opportunities to influence technical direction and quality processes in AUTOSAR/ASPICE environments.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in embedded software development or automotive software.
• Solid knowledge of C and C++.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems and low-level behavior.
• Experience with RTOS, Linux, QNX, or similar environments.
• Ability to communicate tradeoffs and collaborate across software, systems, testing and hardware disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Develop safety-critical embedded software in C and C++.
• Work close to the operating system using RTOS, Linux, or QNX.
• Debug and optimize systems with critical timing and resource constraints.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, testers, and hardware teams for end-to-end functionality.
• Contribute to software architecture, technical decisions, testing and quality assurance.
