Job summary

MacGregor in Gothenburg seeks an AI Engineer to accelerate adoption of AI across operations, products and internal workflows. This hands-on, builder-first role focuses on turning AI concepts into production-ready solutions and driving measurable business impact.

You will identify high-impact AI use cases, collaborate with engineering, product and commercial teams, and translate prototypes into scalable, secure implementations, with a strong curiosity for new technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or a related field
• 5–7 years of experience in software development, AI/ML, data engineering or similar fields
• Professional experience with Python
• Demonstrated experience with AI-assisted development tools and applications
• Solved real problems using AI models
• Ability to demonstrate practical examples of building solutions that automate workflows or improve efficiency
• Strong hands-on development mindset with focus on building and iterating quickly
• Proficiency in spoken and written English

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop AI use cases and solutions
• Translate conceptual AI use cases into production‑ready applications and services
• Work with modern AI development tools to accelerate development and iteration
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems and develop automation solutions for suitable tasks
• Ensure AI solutions are scalable, maintainable and aligned with MacGregor’s architecture and security requirements
• Document AI solutions, workflows and implementation approaches
• Stay up to date with developments in AI technologies, tools and best practices and actively apply your knowledge
