Job summary

MacGregor is seeking an AI Engineer to accelerate AI adoption across operations, products, and workflows in Gothenburg. This hands-on role centers on turning AI concepts into production-ready solutions and scaling them across the organization.

You will work with engineering, product, and commercial teams to identify high-impact AI opportunities and deliver tangible business outcomes through practical implementations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in software development, AI/ML, data engineering or similar fields.
• Professional experience with Python.
• Demonstrated experience with AI-assisted development tools and applications.
• Ability to demonstrate practical examples of building solutions that automate workflows or improve efficiency.
• Strong hands-on development mindset with focus on building and iterating quickly.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop AI use cases and solutions.
• Translate conceptual AI use cases into production-ready applications and services.
• Work with modern AI development tools to accelerate development and iteration.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems and develop automation solutions for suitable tasks.
• Ensure AI solutions are scalable, maintainable and aligned with MacGregor’s architecture and security requirements.
• Document AI solutions, workflows and implementation approaches.
• Stay up to date with developments in AI technologies, tools and best practices and actively apply your knowledge.
