Job description

For this position, you need to have at least 5 years of experience with MongoDB and AWS (cloud and on-premises). As an Application Database Specialist, you will be part of a team of specialists in the database area.

Responsibilities

1. You will be involved in managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Oracle databases both on cloud AWS and on-premises. This includes daily operations, tuning, capacity planning, and consolidation.
2. With SQL development knowledge, you will be involved in new development and enhancements, working alongside the product development team and supporting them with runtime activities.
3. You will engage in discussions with various projects regarding their needs and guide them to suitable solutions.
4. You will collaborate with the Domain Architect to create new solutions and ensure secure deliveries.
5. You will perform traditional DBA tasks and contribute to improving our database platform.
6. You will assist with automation, quality, stability, and security of our databases.

Qualifications

1. Good experience in handling PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases in production (mandatory: at least 3 years of hands-on experience managing production systems).
2. Good experience handling databases in AWS and strong cloud engineering knowledge (mandatory).
3. Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases, query authoring, and/or good knowledge of MongoDB.
4. Ability to work independently and drive activities.
5. Development experience in the database area is an advantage.
6. Experience implementing changes in large database environments.
7. Knowledge of monitoring tools beyond CloudWatch is advantageous.
8. Ability to leverage best practices in continuous integration and delivery is an advantage.
9. Experience in handling on-call support.
