Job description

Analytics Engineer - Inhouse line roleStockholm | Hybrid | Permanent

Help shape the future of data, analytics & AI

An established Nordic organisation is investing heavily in its modern data platform and is looking for an Analytics Engineer to play a key role in that journey.

This is an opportunity to move beyond traditional reporting and help define how data is modelled, governed and consumed across the business. You'll work at the intersection of business, analytics and engineering, building the foundations for self-service analytics and future AI capabilities.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for making data accessible, trusted and meaningful by developing semantic models, defining business metrics and creating scalable analytics solutions that support decision-making across the organisation.

Working closely with Data Engineers, business stakeholders and AI specialists, you’ll help ensure the organisation's data is ready not only for reporting today, but for AI-driven use cases tomorrow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop semantic models and scalable data models
  • Define, document and maintain business KPIs and metrics
  • Build intuitive dashboards and analytical solutions in Power BI
  • Enable self-service analytics across the business
  • Ensure strong data quality, governance, security and performance
  • Create data models that support future AI and natural language analytics
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into data solutions
What We're Looking For
  • Several years' experience developing BI solutions using Power BI
  • Strong SQL and data modelling skills
  • Experience working with Microsoft Fabric, Azure or similar modern cloud data platforms
  • Experience implementing security models (such as Row-Level Security) and data governance best practices
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to bridge business and technical teams
Nice to Have
  • Semantic Models
  • DAX
  • Lakehouse or Data Warehouse architectures
  • dbt
  • Experience working with AI-enabled analytics or modern data platforms
About You

You're someone who enjoys discussing business challenges just as much as designing data models. You understand that great analytics starts with well-structured, trusted data, and you're excited by the opportunities AI brings - but also recognise that successful AI depends on strong data foundations.

You're naturally curious, pragmatic and enjoy bringing clarity to complex information.

Why Join?
  • Play a key role in a major data transformation programme
  • Work with modern technologies including Microsoft Fabric and AI-enabled analytics
  • Influence the design of a next-generation analytics platform
  • Collaborate closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders
  • Join an organisation where data is becoming central to strategic decision-making

If you're an Analytics Engineer looking to have a genuine impact on how an organisation uses data and AI, we'd love to tell you more about this opportunity.
