Job description

About the Role

Lyten Labs is seeking an Analytical Chemist to develop, validate, and implement analytical methods for incoming material, intermediate, and finalized products across R&D, Production, and external suppliers on a wide range of instruments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, validate, and document analytical methods and procedures for characterizing new incoming and raw materials and product intermediates.
  • Optimize analytical methods to increase laboratory efficiency and turnaround time.
  • Execute the Quality Control and testing plan for raw materials and product intermediates.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain analytical instruments to a high standard.
  • Implement and uphold QA/QC principles in daily laboratory functions.
  • Collaborate with production teams, process engineering (R&D and production), supply chain, IT, and automation.
  • Lead the startup of first analytical methods and instruments.
  • Utilize expertise in ICP-OES/MS, ED-XRF, XRD, SEM-EDX, titration, TGA/DSC, and related techniques.
  • Participate in problem‑solving, technical troubleshooting, and technical discussions as needed.
  • Mentor and train technicians.
Qualifications & Experience
  • MSc or PhD in Chemistry, preferably Analytical Chemistry.
  • 5+ years of relevant laboratory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO/IEC 17025).
  • Experience developing and validating analytical methods, standards, procedures, and documentation efficiently.
  • Project‑management skills and a track record of leading quality projects in a laboratory setting.
  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiarity with SPC, FMEA, quality‑troubleshooting tools, and problem‑solving methodology.
  • Curiosity, technical education, and preferably a strong business background.
