Tenth Revolution Group is seeking Senior Backend Engineers with an interest in Applied AI to build AI-powered ecommerce capabilities. You will work as a strong backend engineer first, shaping architecture and production systems, across areas such as retrieval, RAG, and agentic workflows.
The role focuses on production-ready AI features, not just research or API integrations, offering ownership from design to deployment in a distributed, English-speaking engineering environment.
Working Model: Remote-first, with approximately 2 days per month on-site
Employment: Permanent
We’re working with an established Nordic online marketplace business operating across multiple consumer platforms.
The business is going through an exciting phase of technology transformation, with a major focus on bringing AI directly into its products, customer experiences and engineering workflows.
The engineering organisation is international, collaborative and relatively lean, giving experienced engineers the opportunity to take meaningful ownership and influence how technology evolves.
We’re looking for Senior Backend Engineers with an interest in Applied AI to help build the next generation of AI-powered ecommerce capabilities.
This is not a research-focused ML role and it isn’t simply about integrating an LLM API.
You’ll be a strong backend engineer first, while helping design and build production AI capabilities across areas such as:
You’ll have the opportunity to work across different teams and technical domains depending on business priorities, with significant ownership from architecture and development through to deployment and operation.

The environment includes technologies such as:
You don't need experience with every technology listed. Strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to learn are more important than matching a particular technology checklist.
You'll be working on AI-powered capabilities inside established marketplace products rather than isolated experiments or proof-of-concepts.
The role combines modern AI with proper software engineering: architecture, APIs, databases, infrastructure, reliability and production ownership.
You'll have the opportunity to work across teams and take ownership of problems from initial design through to production.
The business is actively building its AI engineering capability, giving you the opportunity to influence how AI is integrated into products and engineering practices.
You'll work alongside a multicultural team where English is the primary working language.
The role is remote-first, with approximately two days per month on-site in Stockholm.
There is no regular business travel requirement.
This role is likely to suit someone who:
If you're a strong backend engineer who has already started working with AI — or an AI/ML engineer with unusually strong software engineering foundations — we'd be interested in hearing from you.
