Job summary

MAJORITY is a groundbreaking digital banking service built for migrants and diverse communities, now seeking an Accountant to join a small, collaborative finance team in Sweden. You will handle day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable, and month-end closing, ensuring accurate reporting and timely VAT and tax declarations.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
• Any relevant bookkeeping and accounting experience.
• Experience and understanding of the overall tasks within Swedish accounting.
• Attention to detail, thoroughness and high level of accountability.
• Excel proficiency.
• Strong English both oral and written.
• Knowledge of Quickbooks, Fortnox or similar accounting systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable.
• Responsibility of day-to-day activities of accounting.
• Managing month-end closing activities and ensure timely reporting.
• Process payments & outgoing wire transfers.
• Submit reports, VAT and tax declarations to tax authorities.

The role

As an Accountant at Majority you will be part of an outgoing and successful team of 5 people. You willtake active part in day-to-day and periodic finance tasks, performing tasks such as bookkeeping,accounts payable and month end closing activities.

Main tasks

• Accounts Payable
• Responsibility of day-to-day activities of accounting
• Managing month-end closing activities and ensure timely reporting
• Process payments & outgoing wire transfers
• Submit reports, VAT and tax declarations to tax authorities
• Reconciliation of ledger accounts

To be a successful candidate you have

• University degree in Business Administration or equivalent
