Job summary

MAJORITY is seeking an Accountant to join a diverse, fast-growing team in Sweden. You will handle day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable, and month-end closing, using modern tools and AI to optimize processes.

You will ensure VAT and tax declarations are accurate and timely, while maintaining high data integrity and compliance. Ideal candidates hold a university degree in business administration, with hands-on bookkeeping experience and strong English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Business Administration or equivalent.
• Some bookkeeping and accounting experience.
• Knowledge of Swedish accounting practices and regulations.
• Great attention to detail and accountability.
• Strong spoken and written English.
• Familiarity with Quickbooks or Fortnox is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle accounts payable and day-to-day accounting tasks.
• Contribute to month-end closing and reporting.
• Process payments and outgoing wire transfers.

The role:

As an Accountant at Majority you will be part of an outgoing and successful team of 5 people. You will take active part in day-to-day and periodic finance tasks, performing tasks such as bookkeeping, accounts payable and month end closing activities.

• Accounts Payable
• Responsibility of day-to-day activities of accounting
• Managing month-end closing activities and ensure timely reporting
• Process payments & outgoing wire transfers
• Submit reports, VAT and tax declarations to tax authorities
• Reconciliation of ledger accounts

To be a successful candidate you have:

• University degree in Business Administration or equivalent
• Any relevant bookkeeping and accounting experience
• Experience and understanding of the overall tasks within Swedish accounting
• Attention to detail, thoroughness and high level of accountability
• Strong English both oral and written
• Knowledge of Quickbooks, Fortnox or similar accounting systems is a plus
