Job description
Overview

DIS Stockholm is seeking three Student Workers to support our Academic Administration team. In this role, you will assist with a wide range of academic administrative tasks, working closely with staff and faculty, with occasional student-facing tasks. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt well to change, this position is an opportunity for you to gain experience in an academic study abroad setting and expand your general office and collaboration skills.

This position is open to students studying in undergraduate/graduate programs at institutions across Stockholm (e.g. KTH, KI, SU, KMH, UU, SSE). The role requires availability to work flexible shifts during the academic semesters, including:

  • Shifts are usually during daytime working hours with occasional evening events
  • Fall semester: late August to mid-December
  • Spring semester: mid-January to early May
  • Summer sessions: mid-May to early August

About our team

The Academic Administration team at DIS Stockholm consists of four people: the DIS Director of Academic Operations and Outreach, and three Academic Coordinators. Together, we ensure each semester runs smoothly by providing faculty support and streamlining processes in collaboration with DIS faculty and staff. Your knowledge will be strengthened, and you will gain valuable experience to guide your future career decisions.

Tasks & responsibilities
  • Act as an on-site support service for faculty during day-to-day operations.
  • Assist in logistical and administrative tasks throughout the academic semester, such as:
    • communicating with faculty, staff, and external contacts
    • booking classroom and meeting spaces
    • ordering and delivering fikas
    • updating schedules and other documentation
    • obtaining relevant educational materials
    • preparing advertisements and announcements across internal platforms
    • assisting in ongoing projects
  • Support the IT team in coverage and classroom support for faculty.
  • Assist in preparing textbooks and support pick-up/drop-off events for students.
  • Help the Academics team in preparing and executing events, workshops, and seminars across DIS after regular working hours.

  • Legal right to work in Sweden (Note: This position does not come with a work visa).
