Job summary

Ericsson Research in Linköping, Sweden, seeks a 6G Researcher in Wireless Communication Concepts to shape next‑generation mobile networks. You will develop, model and evaluate wireless concepts for future 6G, running simulations under realistic conditions and applying AI for optimization.

You will collaborate with researchers and industry partners, present findings, contribute to standards like 3GPP, and help translate research into products and IP.

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, data science, mathematics, physics or related field.
• Experience or academic knowledge in wireless communication systems, future radio technologies, network algorithms, or AI for wireless systems.
• Strong programming skills and ability to develop simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, model and evaluate wireless concepts and algorithms for future 6G networks.
• Design and run simulations under realistic network conditions.
• Apply AI/ML to scheduling, mobility, beam management and network optimization.
• Contribution to industry proposals and IP development.
