Job summary

RETAL is seeking a Tax & Zakat specialist in Saudi Arabia to manage VAT, Zakat, and corporate tax processes. The role involves preparing returns, annual provisions, and leading tax reconciliations across financial systems.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of VAT, Zakat, corporate income tax concepts and tax treaty implications.
• Experience with tax return preparation and periodic tax provisions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review VAT, withholding tax, Zakat, and corporate income tax calculations and returns.
• Support the preparation of periodic and annual Zakat and tax provisions.
• Perform tax reconciliations between tax returns, financial statements, and general ledger balances.
• Review purchase and sales transactions to ensure appropriate VAT treatment and input VAT recovery.
• Assist in managing ZATCA audits, assessments, inquiries, objections, and refund claims.
• Monitor filing and payment deadlines and coordinate with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Investment, and other relevant departments.
• Review contracts, invoices, and business transactions from a tax perspective.
• Maintain complete supporting documentation and tax working papers.
• Assist with e-invoicing compliance and coordination with IT and service providers.
• Support in tax planning and process improvement.
