Job summary

Lucid Motors Middle East is hiring a Water Leak Technician, Chassis responsible for diagnosing water leaks on Lucid EVs at our KSA facilities. You will work within a cross-functional team including Quality, Manufacturing Quality and Repair teams to protect production lines.

The role requires hands-on testing, root-cause analysis, and collaboration to improve sealing processes. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Industrial School graduate (Electrical or Mechanical).
• 5+ years Automotive OEM experience is a must.
• Minimum 3 years in the same role.
• Good verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Fast-paced environment with multiple projects.
• Lead complex issues and communicate up the org levels.

Water Leak Technician, Chassis in charge of Water Leak diagnosis and root cause investigation and reproduction at Lucid AMP2 KSA and working in a challenging and fast-paced environment where you will work with a highly motivated team on extremely challenging projects.

The Water Leak Technician works with NVH Engineer and cross-functional teams throughout the entire product lifecycle working proactively to protect the Lucid production lines from quality issues through a proactive approach. You will work closely with Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality and Repair Teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Respect safety rules: wearing Personal Protective Equipment: safety glasses, vests, shoes, gloves, hard hats when required.
• Maintain Safe and Clean work environment as per 6S standards.
• Execute Water Leak testing protocols on static and dynamic on vehicles and components using spray booths and pressure decay equipment.
• Conduct Water Leak investigation, diagnosis and troubleshooting to localize Water Leak sources entry points.
• Conduct associated trials and tests for root cause confirmation (components assembly, disassembly, cross-checks…).
• Support Manufacturing Quality in Water Leak testing and resolving issues reported through Pre-Delivery Inspection and Lucid Customer Product Audit.
• Support water leak root cause analysis for field issues.
• Ensure vehicle customized set-up when needed for water leak testing and investigation.
• Assist NVH Engineers in root cause analysis and validation of countermeasures.
• Document Water Leak testing procedures and results.
• Maintain Water Leak equipment, tools and instruments in good condition.
• Collaborate with the cross-functional teams to improve Water Leak performance.
• Provide feedback and collaborate with manufacturing to improve sealing processes and adhesive applications.
• Support repair procedures for water leak issues from launch phase to mass production.
• Train new hires from quality/production on vehicle Inspection methods and acceptance criteria.

Skills

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Hand-on experience with Water Leak testing, measurement equipment and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of NVH testing methodologies (order tracking, FFT analysis, transfer path analysis, etc).
• Familiarity with Electrical Vehicle Water Leak testing.
• Good verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong analytical and diagnosis skills.

• Creative, energetic, self-motivated and highly organized.

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma or Industrial School Graduate (Electrical or Mechanic).
• 5+ years of experience in Automotive with OEM is a must. Greenfield Plant is a Plus.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the same role is a Must.
• Good verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous projects.
• Ability to lead complex issues and communicate with different levels of the organization

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off.
