Job summary

Ernst & Young AE seeks a Manager in Valuation Modelling and Economics to lead financial modelling, valuations, and advisory work across MENA. You will partner with management during acquisitions, transformations, and restructurings, delivering insightful value assessments and fair value opinions.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years of experience, a finance-related degree, and a strong grasp of IFRS. Prior valuation/modelling in a Big 4 firm, and CFA progress, are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or engineering.
• Solution-driven individual with a proven record of solving complex problems, completing challenging projects and developing client relationships in Infrastructure businesses.
• Autonomous with experience in reporting to senior colleagues and handling business valuation, capital allocation and portfolio optimization.
• Strong financial modeling skills including experience with project finance models.
• Broad understanding of accounting principles and IFRS standards including those related to fair value measurements, business combinations and impairment testing.

Responsibilities

• As a Manager within Valuation Modelling and Economics, you will work on commercial issues, collaborating with management on parts of the acquisition process or transformation plans.
• Regularly undertake financial modelling and valuations for strategic priorities and provide fairness opinions on transactions and restructurings.
• Collaborate with management during the acquisition process to understand how the value of acquired intangible and financial assets will impact accounting requirements.
