Responsibilities
  • Sell the full range of products to an agreed list of customers and meet previously agreed targets.
  • Maintain the customer service approved by the supervisor, ensuring daily route plan and call frequency meet company standards.
  • Conduct daily and weekly vehicle checks; keep the sales vehicle clean, roadworthy, and report any defects or damage promptly.
  • Agree on next period order requirements, maintain individual customer stock levels to minimize out-of-stock problems.
  • Implement agreed in-store merchandising communicated by the supervisor and coordinate additional support from a company merchandiser.
  • Advise the supervisor of any relevant competitor activity in the area served by the salesman.
  • Daily reconcile all cheques, cash & credit sales; zero stock & cash shortages.
  • Maintain a high standard of driving and obey all driving regulations.
  • Meet Key Performance Indicators: daily/weekly sales vs planned sales, daily positive calls vs plan, daily call sequence vs plan, stales vs target, zero cash & stock shortages.
