Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Sr. Delivery Security Consultant to join the ProServe team. You will design, implement, and manage secure AWS solutions for customers, and provide technical guidance throughout project delivery.

You will engage with customers and internal stakeholders as trusted security advisors, promoting the highest standards of security across engagements and helping shape secure cloud transformations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on security experience in two or more areas: Cloud Security, Application Security, IAM, Network Security, Data Protection, Incident Response.
• Experience in security, risk and compliance and in design/architecture for complex projects.

We are looking for a Sr. Delivery Security Consultant to join the Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing secure AWS solutions for customers, providing technical guidance throughout project delivery, and acting as trusted security advisors.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery.
• Engage with AWS customers and internal stakeholders as trusted security advisors to executives and technical teams.
• Promote Amazon's culture of security and maintain the highest security standards in all interactions.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience as a technical specialist in design and architecture.
• Experience in external or internal customer facing, complex and large scale project management.
• Experience in cloud architecture and implementation.
• Experience in Security, Risk, and Compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands‑on security experience in two or more of the following: Cloud Security, Application Security (security SDLC, threat modeling, code review), Identity & Access Management, Network Security, Data Protection, Incident Response.
• Hands‑on experience implementing enterprise security solutions (Data Loss Prevention, WAF, SIEM, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud‑based solutions (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system.
• Relevant security certifications (AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, CCSP, etc.) are a plus.
• Experience with complex, cloud transformation projects.
• Strategic thinking and decision‑making capabilities in ambiguous environments.
• German language skills.
