Job summary

Hill International is seeking a Senior Project Engineer/Manager to monitor and control electrical and building services installations on site in Riyadh. The role requires extensive on-site presence, coordination with consultants, QA/QC, and safety teams, and close collaboration with government agencies.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 8–10 years' experience, and may hold a licensed PE; English and Arabic proficiency is essential for reporting and coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8–10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Licensed professional engineer preferred.
• Extensive experience of HVAC, plumbing, sanitary, utilities, BMS, sustainability, smoke control, sprinklers and rainwater systems for renovations and new constructions.
• Good understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English & Arabic.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control construction activities associated with the area and/or activity assigned by the Construction Manager; site walks daily.
• Know the construction program including manpower and equipment requirements.
• Facilitate the Consultant and government agencies activities; ensure inspection process is working correctly for all parties.
• Ensure construction procedures followed; understand how each step of the building is to be constructed; know the material and details.
• Be aware of constructability and value engineering to identify actions that may achieve cost savings, expedite construction activities, and/or improve quality.
• Review technical submittals and shop drawings associated with the civil, structural and architectural works.
• Coordinate civil works with MEP and finishes activities.
• Review contractor, consultant daily reports.
• Monitor procurement process to ensure timely delivery of required materials.
• Coordinate construction activities with QA/QC and safety managers to ensure compliance with approved plans.
