Eram Talent is seeking a highly skilled Senior Well Control Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this position, you will be responsible for providing expert support and guidance on well control operations, ensuring the safety and integrity of well activities. You will collaborate with drilling teams to design and implement effective well control strategies, while also providing training and mentorship to junior engineers.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, review, and approve well control programs and procedures.
  • Analyze and assess well control incidents to develop preventive measures.
  • Provide technical support during drilling operations, including real-time monitoring of wellbore conditions.
  • Conduct well control training sessions for drilling personnel and junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize drilling performance and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices related to well control.
  • Participate in post-drilling reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Stay current with advancements in well control technologies and methodologies.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with a bachelors degree in Petroleum, Mechanical or relevant major of study
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in well control engineering, with a focus on drilling operations.
  • Proven experience in both onshore and offshore environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in well control policies, procedures, and operations.
  • Experience in developing well control studies, risk assessments, and emergency response plans.
  • Strong understanding of well control equipment and systems, including Blowout Preventers (BOPs), choke systems, and related technologies.
  • IADC WellSharp or IWCF Accreditation (Supervisory)
  • In-depth knowledge of well control principles, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., API, ISO, IADC).
  • Experience in internationally recognized well control policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for conducting risk assessments and well control incident investigations.
  • Proficiency in well control software tools (e.g., WellCAT, WellSim, or similar).
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage projects, coordinate with teams, and liaise with stakeholders.
